But does this card work with R4V5 of KnoppMyth? They Linux support seems REALLY narrow.

no the card won't work with R4V5 without patching the kernel, but support should be in there for R5. I don't really understand what you are talking about linux support being narrow as they do not support any other OS. They said windows drivers will actually be made available for this card (last one didn't even have any) but it will not be "supported"

I don't really care about Windows support. When I said their Linux support is limited it was because, from their FAQ:

Quote:
The driver is not compatable with glibc-2.3.2-27.9 and you will need to fall back to glibc-2.3.2-11.9. We are currently working on a fix for this and will post it in the downloads.

so it will work on a narrow set of linux systems.

Is U.S. ATSC broadcasting used up there? I would assume there may be difficulties obtaining a card for U.S. ATSC broadcasts after the sunset date.

Even if they don't, I am in Toronto, so when signals get stronger I may be able to catch a few accross the lake.

I heard the Canadian government was setting up jamming stations along the southern border so Fox News Channel wouldn't create political confusion and unrest.

:P

If successful, perhaps the US government will follow suit...
