Hello, I am using knoppmyth R5V10 and have almost everything working perfectly. I am using a hauppauge grey remote but i have one problem. I do not have a /etc/init.d/ script to startup lircd (I have no idea how it dissappeared, but its noth their) Needles to say, lirc is configured fine, i can start it manually as root, and my remote works fine in mythtv and xine. I am asking that someone could post a copy of their lirc startup script so that i may fix this problem, any help would be much appreciated

that is a known issue with the R5 alpha releases and is covered in the install documentation for them.

ok, maybe im blind......I've looked through the installation documentation, it seems only to talk about the menu that pops up after a install and lets me chooses the i586 vs i686 packages....I believe i chose the i586 packages.... I know I installed lirc, I just dont have a startup script for it... can i re-run the lirc install without screwing up my configuration (as its working fine) or maybe im way off track, thanks for the help.
