Hi all,

Installed, configured R5A12...got the nvidia driver installed, got the lirc set to automatically start. I've got a PVR350 w/ cable coming out of the wall (side note: is there a way to set it up out of my cable box? Do I need an "IR Blaster" to do so?) and a GF4 MMX440 with S-Vid out to TV.

Now that I've rebooted, it comes to a screen asking me to configure for i686 and whatnot. I choose i686 and then I'm brought to the default menu:

Questions I have: How does one configure this? Is there any documentation that actually tells you how to set it? What I mean is that I've read tons of wiki entries and how-to's from this forum...but none of them gives a definitive answer as to which options to choose. I

If I'm going directly out of the wall for cable, do I choose tuner?

After setting up the devices and paths for everything, how does one allow it to automatically scan channels? As it is right now, I'm stuck in this configuration menu with no way of leaving it...the autoscan button won't allow selection even after I've setup my user/pass and have everything configured.

Any help is appreciated...

It doesn't scan channels. Cecil's KnoppMyth install directions are quite clear about this. If you're a US user the first thing to do is sign up with zap2it to get your program guide feed this tells your system which channels are available. You'll also select an appropriate table (e.g. US-cable) which maps channel id to frequency.

Ahh I see...

The button is rather misleading. I was thinking I was supposed to scan channels right away and that something was wrong with my install. Thanks!
