You need to install the -dev libs to compile

er, what does this mean? install the development libs? how to do that in Knoppmyth...sorry to be so dense! apt-get install...what?

i am trying to compile 6200ch.c and keep getting these error messages:

6200ch.c:21:32: libavc1394/rom1394.h: No such file or directory
6200ch.c:22:32: libavc1394/avc1394.h: No such file or directory

also, haven't been able to find a pre-compiled binary for 6200ch.c. Can anybody point me at it?

The most current and needed for MythTV, isn't on any repositry (at least not one I could find...). You'll have to compile from SVN or wait a few days (hint hint hint).
