Hi !

I have made a auto upgrade to version R5A15.1 und I get this error when X started on my pvr350 tv out (using the ivtvdev driver):

(EE) IVTVDEV(0): FBIOBLANK: Invalid argument
(EE) IVTVDEV(0): FBIOPAN_DISPLAY: Invalid argument
(==) IVTVDEV(0): Backing store disabled

What's this?

I have the same problem. Please post if you find a solution. I will do the same.

I'm trying to fix the problem I described here:
http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4370

And found these messages in the X log, presumably related.

I am running R5A16 and was able to get video out to my TV working, i.e. I can see Tux sitting on the couch and watching TV. But whenever i try to start the x-server I get the same error reported at the begining, according to the XFree86.0.log

"(EE) IVTVDEV(0): FBIOBLANK: Invalid argument
(EE) IVTVDEV(0): FBIOPAN_DISPLAY: Invalid argument
(==) IVTVDEV(0): Backing store disabled"

I'm a linux newbie, so I don't know where to even start looking. I've googled the error but this is one of the only posts that comes up. Anyone know where to look next?

Thanks,

Armando

I saw this error after upgrading to A26. It turns out my 350 got setup a little different after the reboot, probably because I enabled my (previously disabled) USB ports to backup to an external drive before the upgrade.

I updated the "fbdev" and "BusId" parameters in my XF86Config-4 and now all is well again.
