I've been experimenting with the Mythweather screen sequence and noticed something that I've never noticed before: during the evenings the third screen is "Tomorrow's forecast" yet during the day it is "extended (3 day) forecast". What's the rationale for showing one or the other but not both of these in sequence?

From what I've read the thinking is that past a certain point in the day (say 9PM) todays forecast isn't al that useful anymore. However I'm not sure it really works out the way it's intended to...

I think this is a function of the raw weather.com data. they provide different datasets depending on local time of day

Looks a lot like NOAA's data to me. But I could be wrong.

I have always found MythWeather to be essentially useless. For example, this morning I woke up at 6AM and immediately checked MythWeather to see if it was gonna rain today. I get Current Conditions; the 3-day forecast, starting with Thursday (did I miss Wednesday or something?); and TOMORROW's outlook. Why do I want Wednesday's forecast at 6 in the morning on Tuesday?

It definitely has it's share of useless moments, but that is part of the grand tradition of weather forecasting isn't it? ;-)

Here in New England the weather forecast for tomorrow changes about every 4 hours on a good day, often radically. I've seen the forecast change from 85F and overcast to 55F and sunny in an afternoon. Two days ago they were predicting the high today would be ~70F while it ended up being more like 45F, and not even the 48F they said at 9AM this morning....
