Can the card record through its composite/svideo and playback via the svideo out port at the same time?

yes this should be possible. of course neither composite or svideo have sound, so you would also have to use the sound inputs and outputs. would be a pretty busy little card.

The 350 doesnt have a sound out jack does it? mine has radio in, Antenna, Svideo/composite in, svideo/composite out, Line in and remote control, so not sure how this would work. Or am I being dumb and you mean I would have to use the sound out from my sound card...

Also would it be able to stream through what was currently being pumped in to my other card (pvr 250) basicaly what I am asking is that could it do the job of TV out rather than using my graphics card tv out and still record at the same time.

My knoppmyth box is almost ready now, just gotta sort the tv out and work out how to get my Sky digibox to change channels using the redremote serial irda I bought and I will be rockin'

line in is sound in, and it should have a line out. which will need to be piped out to your sound card. And yes it can act as the only video output and still record at the same time.
