 Post subject: Audigy LS and line in

I can't for the life of me get any sound out of the line in port from my audigy LS. (which isn't saying much because I barely know anything about audio) If I open alsamixer I don't even see a Line In. I see CAPTURE. But I've tried to raise the level on everything. Hit 'm' to unmute anything i saw that could be muted. and switched the settings around..... It's as if when using the PVR-350's tv-out. The sound card simply doesn't work. On the other hand, the sound from the PVR-350 is fine. I can plug that into something and get sound but I think I need it running through my Audigy. If I turn off the PVR-350's tv-out, then the sound card outputs audio just fine.


Anybody have any pointers for me?

Dust, let me give you a quick tip, SEARCH FIRST.


I have this problem with my audigy and found that you have to turn up the audigy capture, or mix, I can't remember the exact name.

What I also found in R5A16 is that digital out is on by default, so you need to turn that off before you will get audio out of your analog plugs.

Thanks for the tip Girkers,

Here, I'll summarize it for those who don't READ FIRST.

Audigy LS (most likely not 'your' Audigy chip, and not the same driver either)
Sound works
Analog plugs on PVR-350 work
Line In does not work
tried unmuting and muting everying in different combinations using 'm' in alsamixer
capture level doesn't produce results.
