I upgraded from R5A12 to R5A16 on a new system. System specs in my sig. I have 3 PVR-250's. It was working fine for a week. Channels would change properly for recording or manually for live TV. This evening I rebooted after adding lm-sensors support (the only obvious system change) and I can't change channels.

I searched for solutions and renamed v4l2/tuner.ko and v4l2/tveeprom.ko. Rebooted. No joy. I haven't tried forcing the tuner type as it seems it is well-defined. The lines in /var/log/messages are:

Could lm-sensors addition have caused the problem? Any suggestions welcome. Important recordings coming up

Since both use the i2c stuff you may have incompatible kernel modules...

It looks like lm-sensors isn't compatible with ivtv. I re-installed KnoppMyth R5A16 (after backing up the configuration) with auto -upgrade and channels are changing again without lm-sensors.

There was some discussion in the "Installation" forum from last year but nothing since then.

I try again when I get some testing time to spare.
