I've got my WinTV-Go Plus working reasonably well in the latest version of KnoppMyth. Currently I am using a patch cord from the capture card to the audio card on the motherboard and get rather tinny sound quality. I have made various attempts at setting the reducing the mixer levels with some improvement, but not much.

I believe the WinTV-Go is supported by the btaudio module but I am unable to determine how to configure it in KnoppMyth, it doesn't seem to be present as a loadable module.

Any ideas? It's the last hurdle for me to finally getting this project done. Thanks.

I'm going to top this problem because I'm having the same issue, and it's quite annoying. Using the line out to the microphone doesn't work since it's out of sync. If anyone can help this problem let me know thanks.

When using a BTTV card on my Slave Backend, I had a very tinny sound on the recorded video also. After much reading I figured that it was my onboard sound card (ESC MB with SIS 911 onboard sound) that was the problem. I disabled the onboard sound and put in a cheap pci soundcard. I had the same tinny results. Reading on various forums, turns out this chipset did not work well in linux (using the line in for recording from the Capture card) either. I cannot remember the chipset off the top of my head, but it is well documented on the gossamer threads.

I finally tried an ancient Ensoniq PCI sound card and the tinny sound issues went away. Works very well now.

I also had the tinny sound issue many moons ago and it was simply that my sound card ( in my case a turtle beach santa cruse) didn't work well I swapped with another computer I had for a sblive and all was good.

As for sound being out of sync when using mic port you would have to go into alsamixer and change the capture port from line in to mic in and mute mic in.

Not really sure about the btaudio stuff, I've never had a card that supported it, so never needed to look at it.
