Hello!

I installed ivtv 0.3.6n and KnoppMyth yesterday and after a lot of problems it finally work well, but:

The quality of pvr150 output is bad. The picture is blurred.

It looks as if the picture is present twice but shifted by 2-3 scan lines vertically and merged together, so when i should describe it correctly i'd have to say: Its only vertically blurred. Horizonzal everything is fine and sharp :-)

I think it would look similar when the interlaced fields (odd/even) are swapped and deinterlaced afterwards, but thats just an assumption.

The tuner type is set correctly (idx 97 - tuner type 55 = LG PAL (TAPE Series)), also the tv standard is correct (PAL) but also when using ptune-ui.pl and mplayer /dev/video0 the problem is still present.

Does anybody have an idea how i can solve this problem? I know that it does not apply to MythTv but i think a lot of people here know ivtv and its problems.

Best regards,

Kai

Generally, if you want to use the dev version ivtv, you should be subscribed to the ivtv-dev list.

I suspect this thread might help (you'll want to add the command to set_ivtv_params:

http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/i ... ctl;#21404

(specifically, the 'ivtvctl -c dnr_temporal=0' command)
