don't know what to tell you it has always played vob files fine for me. as a matter of fact if you rip using the perfect setting that is what it rips the files to. of course to rip or play a dvd you have to have certain things which do not ship with knoppmyth for legal reasons, but playing a vob file should not require any decryption and should work fine.

you could run mythfrontend from an xterm and try it again then exit and see what kind of error messages you get that will help diagnose the problem.

Ok, I resolved my problem. I use a PVR-350.
I replaced :

"mplayer -fs -zoom -quiet -vo xv %s" to "mplayer -fs -zoom -quiet -vo x11 %s"

in Setup->Videos Settings->Player Settings

Dude, you've been around here for a month and a half now, when are you going to start doing your own searches?

You have an audio sync problem. A search for "audio sync mplayer" will turn up 6 (now 7) threads, at least 3 of them had useful information. I'm not going to give you the links because it's half past time for you to learn how to fish for yourself.
