I've got a motherboard with only an option for a PCI video card. Any recommendations of what is out there that I should use that'll primarily hook up well with an HDTV (component is preferred but will do HDMI if I have to), and secondarily, have some decent measure of performance in MythKnoppix?

I see an nVidia GeForce FX 5200 PCI. There are two models, a 128mb and a 256mb. Is one of these good enough, or should I go for something different?

FWIW, the 128mb model is about half the price of the 256mb model.

the 128 should be fine. The big concern would be if the pci bus itself has enough bandwith to accommodate recording and playing back of hdtv simultaneously. I'm not saying it won't cause I haven't even looked at the calculations I'm simply saying that would be my only concern.
