I'm running into a problem trying to configure lirc on my frontend. I picked up an IR receiver on eBay and, for some reason, irrecord won't get any response from it. I went through the online doc on how to set it up:

and was fine until I got to that part. I configured it on COM1/3f8/4 as Igor Cesko's Variation (since Girder works with the hardware in Windows with the Igor plugin, it seems that should be right).

Has anyone else had any success setting this up? I've searched and can't find anyone who's gotten it working yet.

Anyone have any luck with this device? I'd still like to use it instead of having a KWorld card in my frontend just for the remote interface.
