Ho hum.

I finally got sound and video (very choppy) working in Myth with my Diamond PVR-550 encoder.

Figured the choppiness was caused by the lack of video driver for the built in VIA VGA on the mobo.

But hey, I've got an ATI Radeon 9250 sitting here - let's use that.

Put that puppy in, configured XF86Config-4 and it was really looking promising. I got into Myth, started live TV and the picture was great (no choppiness at all), but I totally lost sound in Myth. :(

I dropped out of Myth and tested one of the games and sound played perfect. WTF?

Took the Radeon 9250 out and sound started working in Myth again, but everything was of course jerky/choppy again. :x

Why would this happen? Why would the Radeon cause sound to drop?

What should I look for to fix this?

Jon

OK. But if it were an IRQ conflict I would think there would be no sound at all in Linux.

How would I check for an IRQ conflict in Linux?

Code:
cat /proc/interrupts
You maybe able to assign IRQs in your BIOS.
