I've posted this on Mythtv-users as well

Sempron 2800, 2gb RAM, PVR-350, PVR-150, KnoppMyth R5A15

This configuration was working with PVR-350 tv out before I added the PVR-150 and updated ivtv...

Ok, I'm really getting frustrated here. I've been through just about every multiple tuner card topic I can find. I'm sure the answer is in here somewhere. Can someone else please have a look. Even if I start X on my CRT, I'm still having tuner issues in that I get a burst of Live TV and then it stops and eventually goes back to MythTV

I'm running with ivtv-0.3.6y to support the PVR-150

lspci -v shows PVR-150 is 1:7:0, PVR-350 is 1:8:0, my AGP video card is 3:0:0. I'm trying to use PVR-350 for tv out (had it working before I put the PVR-150 in and updated to the unstable drivers)

ok, I don't know if I would call this a "technical" response, but I had almost the same problem you are having and was eventually able to overcome it by swapping PCI card locations.

I originally had a single pvr-350 system working, then added a pvr-250 in a pci slot ABOVE the 350. after this the drivers didn't load right and xserver got all confused. after switching them so the 350 was "above" the 250, everything loaded fine and from then on it was plug and play. from what I understand, you shouldn't need to do anything special to get both cards working aside from using a driver that supports both. but who knows, maybe I just got lucky.

anyway, hope that helps. --sa

I had considered swapping the slots but was too lazy toi drag the box down to open it up. I did finally manage to get it running. I had set some params in the ivtv file (loading the modules) as follows:

#options saa7127 i2c_enable=-1,1
#options cx25840 i2c_enable=1,-1
#options msp3400 once=1 simple=1

but as you can see I commented them out and then did a COLD reboot and that seemed to do the trick. Also, since my 350 was my tv-out and the second card, I needed to set /dev/video17 as the device in the player settings. Anyway, it seems all better now
