I've searched the forums and unfortunately, it appears that I'm the only one experiencing this problem. After watching a recording for a few minutes the reported time in the recording starts lagging. For example, I watch The 4400 for 20 minutes then I hit 'i' and it says that I've only been watching it for 18 minutes. This becomes a bigger problem when commercials come on and I try to skip them only to have the system try to sync the time with the what is on the screen and thus it sands me back several minutes into the show.

This started happening after I upgraded from R5A15 to R5A16. I then thought that it may be a problem caused by the upgrade. So I reinstalled R5A16 from scratch only to see the problem again.

My understanding is that the place in the recording that is shown as well as the location of commercial breaks is stored in the database. Is it possible that my database is getting corrupted? Can any of you think of any other reason for this behavior? This is happening in many different shows and channels.

Thanks,

Jared

Actually, I currently have this problem as well. Play back just slightly slower than normal 1.0X speed. I didn't have it until I went to R5A16.

I've noticed it when watching live tv where even without pausing, I will be quite a bit behind live after a while.

I am using the PVR-250 cards for my box if that is signifigant.

This is good to know. At least I'm not the only one. Anybody else got a data point to add to the investigation?

Well I have reverted back to R5A15.1 and everything seems to work just fine. So it must be something that was added to the latest version. I still don't know if the problem is with KnoppMyth or just MythTV but I'll keep looking for an answer.

I have not seen this behavior at all... Perhaps it is due to one of the 4400s special ability. BTW: If you're running 15.1, you need to change your sig. ;)

Darn those 4400. They're always messing things up! :)

It appears that someone else might be seeing something similar. They posted a message about it here: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5578

But for the most part you are correct. This seems like a pretty isolated incident. Which just makes it harder for me to figure out.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up on the sig. It has been fixed now.
