Well, it did work awesome until we tried to hit the ffw button on the remote, this causes xine to die on my system. Seems volume up/down works, but navigation buttons cause it to quit. I suspect my lirc setup, I'll check into it and report back here. Eventually.

And as for the navigation problem, I'm pretty sure I've seen a solution to that
floating around somewhere. Don't give up hope. Sorry, I can't remember
where I saw it. I'll check the other boards I frequent and let you know if I

Putting xterm -e in front of xine eliminated the focus problem I had after exiting xine. This focus problem caused navigation issues in mythtv, such as not being able to navigate the program guide.

Unfortunately when I run with the xterm -e, xine quits on me when trying to skip ahead or back in a video or dvd. No good there, so I backed out the xterm -e for now.
