So I'm trying to get nvtv to work so I can fake the overscan for my geforce 2 card. Basicly I get the picture well on my 27" tv but it has black bars around it not taking up the whole screen.

I try running nvtv from an X shell it says Fatal: Compiled without gui
I also made sure i did an apt-get install nvtv which says that it is the newest version and I also made sure I am running the right nvtv from /usr/bin/local/
I even downloaded the src distribution of nvtv from sourceforge and compiled it myself but still no luck.

Any ideas on what could be going on?

The apt-get version should work. It's probably in /usr/bin not /usr/local/bin.
The /usr/local/bin version would be the original one compiled without gui support.

My box isn't networked, so I can't apt-get anything but this thread led me to believe that the apt-got version should work.
