The last 2 days I have been trying to auto mount the DVD writer.
I have read through the autofs and automount instructions but notice that knoppix does this a bit different as documentation that I have found until now. I tried commenting out the automount.sh in the auto.master file and use the auto.mnt (and add the dvd there as /dev/sr0) but that does not work.

I can mount the dvd drive manually (have it added to fstab successfully) but I would like to get the automount working.

There is a mentioning of knoppix-autoconfig in the auto etc files but I am not quite sure what that command is really doing (it hangs when executing).

Is there some kind of secret hand shake to get the automount of an USB dvd drive to work?
