I'm trying to setup my Motorola DCT 6208 on Knoppmyth (R5A16 or something like that) and only seem to be getting a blank screen. The capture card settings show [Firewire Port:0, Node:2], but when I go to input connections the only one listed is [Firewire Port:0, Node:0]. Are they supposed to be different? if not, is there a config file that can be edited to change it to Port:0 Node:2 like I would think it should read?

Anyone get this working lately?

you should be able to scroll through to node2.

I'm not sure what's going on. Basically I was able to determine that my firewire port/DCT6208 was on Port:0 Node:2 and configure it as such in the "Capture Card" section, but when I go to the "Input Connections" section the only option listed besides new connection is for Port:0 Node:0. When I choose this option a configuration screen comes up for Port:0 Node:2, but it just seemed odd and I thought I'd ask about it.

I seem to be unable to get things working, but don't really think this is why. It seems there are many people having a tough time with the DCT6208. I'll keep trying, but ultimately planned to get an HDTV tuner card eventually anyway, so I'm not really too concerned. I just read that some people were able to get the DCT6200's working and figured I had nothing to lose by giving it a shot.

I'm using a 2600 and its working great.

Are you not able to record any channels at all? or just not hd and premium.
I have a theory about the premium. I could record it when I first installed and then it went away then later on it came back, now I don't want it to go away again, so I haven't tested my theory, but I believe that you have to have one of the other video outputs of the 6200 other than the firewire plugged up before the premium/hd content will travel over the firewire. In my case it started working again when I plugged the svideo into one of the inputs on my tv in order to set something in one of the menus ( I like to have the clock display instead of the channel.)

I got things working now and all seems ok. Channel switching works good and for some reason since I switched from my R9800pro to a GF4 Ti4200 (w/o XvMC enabled) HD playback is smooth. Not sure why, could have been a configuration problem on my part, but no biggie it works and I'm happy :)

Still working on DVI Out to my Hitachi 51F500. I've tried a bunch of settings and overscan is killing me. I don't have access to a monitor that has high eough resolutions to try the powerstrip method, so I'm kind of stuck for the moment.

Other than that, MythTv on my DCT-6208 rocks and definitely is a better option than what I was using in WinXP.
