Greetings fellow MythTV users

any hints on where else i can look to solve the following problem

ok firstly using knoppmyth R5A16 - working perfectly except for accessing mythweb

from another machine on my network i try 192.168.1.15/mythweb/

and i get password box - i enter mythtv:mythtv

and it acts like the password is wrong - 3 times and i get unauthorized error

ok so i htpasswd -c /var/www/htpasswd mythtv - then mythtv as pass and restart apache

no change still get unauthorized error - so i try to access it from within mythTV with its web browser and still the same error

i've been through the /var/www/mythweb/.htaccess line by line and through /var/www/mythweb/config/conf.php

am i missing something - the web server is running as i get the password dialog box just won't allow me in

the /var/www/htpasswd file has mythtv:(encrypted password) in it

thanks...

Did you setup the password yourself? Currently, there is no by default.

solved my problem by reinstalling knoppmyth - chose update previous version from menu so as to keep all my settings and it allowed me in straight away

not sure why but something must have been broken in my last install

cheers...
