MythBurn successfully creates the DVD files and creates an ISO image. However, it would appear that there is an ownership issue of some kind with the DVD drive. When MythBurn attempts to burn the DVD, I receive the following error:



A quick google of the problem seems to indicate that it's an ownership issue with /dev/dvd.
I've tried changing the owner from mythtv to www-data, and I've tried setting ownership to mythtv but making www-data a group member of mythtv, but I still get the same error.

Can anybody tell me how I need to set ownership of /dev/dvd so MythBurn will work?

I can use growisofs to burn the DVD after MythBurn has errored out, but it would be really nice if MythBurn was able to finish the job.

/dev/dvd should be just a symlink. Try changing permissions for /dev/hdc.

Sweet! That did it!

Changing ownership of /dev/hdc to www-data:www-data fixed the problem!
