Hi everybody,
My first post here!
So, I've not yet built my standalone MythTV Media center, but I am looking forward to having a go, but before I do I have a question:

Does the Compro VideoMate DVB-T200 Digital TV Internal PCI card work with MythTV/KnoppMyth?

This card comes with a remote control (which is a definate must) and about half the price of a Hauppauge WinTV-Nova-T PCI Adapter or about a third of the price of a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-350 PCI Adapter.

Thanks in advance.

With a bit of help from the linux-dvb list, I managed to the the Compro T200 going.. Originally I used knoppmyth 5R16 & had to re-compile the kernel up to 2.6.13 then do some cvs patching to get things going..

Fortunately now knoppmyth 5R22 has been released you don't need to dirty your hands with the kernel :)

Try the following to upgrade to the latest video4linux cvs, which should give module support for your card.

# cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.linuxtv.org:/cvs/linuxtv login
# cvs -z3 -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.linuxtv.org:/cvs/linuxtv co -P dvb-kernel
# cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.linuxtv.org:/cvs/video4linux login
# cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.linuxtv.org:/cvs/video4linux co -P video4linux
# cd video4linux/
# sh scripts/merge-trees.sh
# make
# make install
# rmmod saa7134 saa7134-dvb
# modprobe saa7134-dvb

Note : You'll need to add a 'saa7134-dvb' line in /etc/modules to make sure the card is initialised at startup.

Once you have that done, follow parkinpants' WinTV guide with the exception of remote control config here :

http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... 7860#37860

Remote control functionality is limited to up/down/left/right at the moment, I'm working on setting up LIRC at the moment but if anyone could offer any help I'd be mighty appreciative!

Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately in the interviening weeks since I posted this, I bought a Hauppauge Nova-T card. Thanks anyhow. perhaps I'll use one of the Compro's as additional tv cards, they are significantly cheaper than the Nova-T cards
