Hi Everyone

As you may not know, we are able to get both imput and output working on the PVR-150 ir blaster/receivers (using the guide i made in the hints and tips forums). Now that R5A22 has been released. Cecil has included alot of my stuff out of that guide, in to the release. Right out of the box so to speak (after a fresh install of R5A22, the remote and the blaster are working, but if you reboot the remote stops responding, but the blaster continues to work.

I have tried reinstalling the system a couple of times now, even rmmod pvr_150 and modprobing it again, killing lircd, i dont know where to begin to trouble shoot.

anyhelp would be great

Further to this, it seems that after rebooting a couple of times, the remote will work fine. so to recap

First (fresh) install of R5A22, it works no problems.

Reboot, and it stops responding (just the rx side of it (receive) tx is still working)

Reboot again the remote works.

Hopefully someone can figure this out.

I have a WinTV Go-Plus with the silver remote. The remote worked after installing the correct lircd.conf and the lircrc, but it stopped working after reboot, and still doesn't work after several successive reboots.

I had the same problem with a PVR-150. I seem to recall lirc_i2c not loading after my first reboot. Once I did a modprobe lirc_i2c it started working again. Strangely in successive reboots, it works fine without doing that.

My 150 receiver works fine and I would like to get the blaster working, what steps do I need to perform? Do I need to make the nodes? I will be controlling a motorolla 2500 adding the 2000 config file has worked so i know I will have to do that. How is the channel change script different if at all? Your write up was great and i was going to follow it but this post got me thinking maybe I can save some time. Any help much appreciated? This distribution keeps getting better. Serial blaster setup still the same? (ok sorry a little off topic)

Jake>>

Ill give it a go tonight, and see if that makes it work, if thats the case i can just add that to startup and all should be good.

jakep_82>>Follow the walkthrough on your old install, or download r5a22 and upgrade to get the functionality out of it.

Okay now I am having this problem with the receiver not responding. I tried the Modprobe but no luck it still won't respond. It was working through several reboots now not so much. Has anyone found a solution yet.
