Hi,

Just declared a new video source in mythtvsetup that is france, passed in terminal to answer at questions about channels I wanted to include, everything went fine till then. Then mythtvsetup asked me to run mythfilldatabase and then I got that message:

Quote:
2005-11-14 13:38:09.777 Using runtime prefix = /usr
2005-11-14 13:38:09.785 New DB connection, total: 1

2005-11-14 13:38:09.790 New DB connection, total: 3
In normal, fast grabbing mode all days are fetched at once, so the
--days option does nothing. The option is useful only for reducing
the extra downloads caused by --slow mode.

using config filename /home/mythtv/.xmltv/tv_grab_fr.conf
config file /home/mythtv/.xmltv/tv_grab_fr.conf does not exist, run me with --configure
------------------ End of XMLTV output ------------------
Error in 1:1: unexpected end of file
Updating icons for sourceid: 1
2005-11-14 13:38:10.047 New DB connection, total: 4
Updated programs: 0 Unchanged programs: 0
Failed to fetch some program info

The tv_grab_fr.conf file doesn't exist, but who is supposed to create it ?

Thanks for any help or clue you might have

Vincèn

Have a look and see if it's somewhere under /root if it is, copy it to the correct place in the mythtv home dir

Hi,

everything is in the error:

Quote:
config file /home/mythtv/.xmltv/tv_grab_fr.conf does not exist, run me with --configure

just log in as user mythtv and run
Code:
tv_grab_fr --configure

to create that file.... copying from root could also work (don't forget to change the permissions), but I prefer doing it the right way.

Please do also have a look at http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6812
to solve the next problem that you will probably have after ;-)

greetings
jangli

Thanks you too for your valuable tips that helped me getting successful runs of tv_grab_fr and mythfilldatabase. So now programs are retrieved and stored in database of mythtv but I still have an issue.

When I want to see programs for each station, when I select the browse menu where you can see each station with its programs, nothing displays, I only have date, time and list of time that displays and nothing else !! But I do a search in program through title, stations or whatever, it works !!

Do you have an idea what's wrong ?

Thanks

Vincèn
