What it says in the title, does it contain same updates/changes as R5A22 minus the svn stuff?

You are right. It does contain some other minor bug fixes etc, since R5A22.

Just a word of caution, Cessman did say NOT to upgrade from 22 to 26. If your doing a clean install then I guess it would be ok, but your backup may not restore properly.

Well just upgraded, went fairly smooth, however it looks and acts exactly the same as ebfore the upgrade - whats changed? I see no menu additions or any added functionality?

most of the stuff is in the installation and the like of which nothing has changed with the version of MythTV

lots changed since A15 added mythburn, added mythstreamtv newer version of mythtv added several things to the install routine. Added web security. Mythweb is where many of the enhancements live.
