I'm missing a couple of features from my mythbox that I'd really like to see working.. Namely MythstreamTV and MythburnTV.

After spending some time reading on these forums it appears the thing causing both from working properly is the fact that my Hauppauge Nova-T card is recording in TS format as opposed to PS format.

Is is possible to change my recording preference from TS to PS easily?

I may be over-simplifying things here, but I believe the simplest way is usually the best..

PS is about to be deprecated, so I wouldnt attempt to use it. You would just be setting yourself up for pain later on. The mythburn scripts should work with TS format recordings.

In older versions of myth, mythtv-setup allowed you to select between TS and PS when configuring the capture card.

I think the current version of myth defaults to TS and has removed the option to switch to PS using mythtv-setup (although you can do it directly by hacking the database).

Future versions of myth will not support PS recording at all.
