Is there a way to configure the PVR-350 remote (A415-HPG - silver) to turn a television on/off?

Not too easily i would imagine - you cant get the remote to learn the power off ir code for your tv.

You could buy a learning universal remote and learn all the keys from the a415 and the power button from your tv remote - you would then have to use this remote instead of the a415 - which was not really what you were asking.

True, not what I was asking, but a very interesting idea that I hadn't considered. Thanks!

I took your advice and picked up a seventeen dollar universal remote. Problem solved :)

Do you have a link to the remote you got. $17 sound pretty cheap. Is it a learning remote?

here's a link to the remote I ended up using. I don't think it is a learning remote, but it has a ton of supported devices.

But if its not a learning remote how did you use it with your tuner card ?
I'll be surprised if you tell me that it was preprogammed for the A415-HPG :-)

It isn't preprogrammed specifically for the A415-HPG, however the IR receiver that comes with the 350 seems to be a bit more flexible than that.

Here's a site I found that describes in detail how to set this up. I was quite enthused :)

My only complaint is that the skip and previous buttons are pretty far away from my thumb when I hold the remote.
