Hi All,

Day six of R5A26 and so far so good! However, came home last night to find that "CSI:NY", which should have been a 2.2GB, one-hour show, was only an 18MB, 30-second clip according to Mythweb. I confirmed this in my /myth/tv folder, it was indeed short.

It doesn't show me much, but I don't really know what to look for

/var/log/messages for the same time period only shows six of the following lines, none of which correspond to the start or end time of the recording:

Dec 7 22:28:37 mythtv -- MARK --

The logs look like it thinks it recorded ok? Did law & order record fine?

Yep, Law and Order was just fine.

This has happened before, but not every time that two shows recorded at the same time. And it hadn't happened since I upgraded to R5A26, so I was hoping it was fixed in Myth since the version built into R5A16.

I'm going to modify my mythbackend startup task to use the "--verbose all" option and see if that gives any more info, but I hate thinking that it'll only give me info when another show records short

I have had many problems tring to get Law and Order to record. Maybe one the the programers for MythTV doesn't like that show and causes random errors when it is selected to record?

(I'm 98% kidding with this hypothetical explination to your problem.)

I just loaded R5A26 and have it working well. I am having the same problems. I have tried to record "The Price Is Right" two days in a row and it only records about 400MB and not the 2GB it should.

I haven't tried any other shows so I don't know if it's a TV program problem or a MythTV problem.

I have used R5A16 and R5A22 and didn't have this problem...

I will try to record another program and see if I get the same problem.

Any idea's????
