When I load up MythTV I seem to have an X-offset problem. I adjusted the offset in the setup and now the mythtv nav screens appear in the correct place. However, when I watch TV or playback recordings, the left part of the screen is cut off.

Any idea how to correct this?

Thanks!

You can try adjusting the timings in the x86config4 file. But I haven't had much luck doing that. The settings don't seem to have any effect.

On my system the X desktop is very much overscaned. but it is eveny overscaned on all sides. And playpack is centered.

After copious digging through forums, search engines, news groupes, etc. I think I have now been able to change the x width of the screen (720).

However, I was able to change the osd % to better fit my screen - which is really what I wanted.

For those wondering, it is under: settings > tv settings > playback, 7th screen.

Uhhh didn't you use the xf86config4 file provided for the pvr-350? It should have already had the screen resolution set.
