I have searched for a post that I saw a while back detailing which HD tuners work best, but I can't seem to locate it tonight. Could someone make a suggestion??

Well, the choices have increased recently. The linuxtv site has 10 suggestions:

I believe newer kernels just have a nxt200x to cope with nxt2002 and nxt2004.
