ok, just moved to a26 and i love it
but
the datadirect services are not working
here is the output from my mythfilldatabase :

i know my usr and pass word are correct (i connect to there website....)
and my account dosent xpire til the 6th of january 2006
(btw, how do i extend it, i know i got the code in the knoppmyth wiki. but is ther an extension?)
so how do i fix this ?

about a week before your subscription expires there will be an extend button on zap2it and you fill out a new survey and get three more months.

Have you removed the cron script that runs mythfilldatabase, and moved to having mythtv run it?

cron scripts are like the startup processes right? (sorry, im learning, but i dont know THAT much)
i didnt have that problem b4 (with a16) in setup i enter the usr name and the password, that wors fine, it scessfully finds out what service plan i have. then i exit, and open up the xterm window. type in mythfilldatabase
and i get the errors returnd above.
so if it is a cron problem, how do i access it (ie what folder is the file in, and what fo i needa edit?)

btw, im replying FROM my mythbox. lol

between A16 and A26 the process was changed. there should be a file in /etc/cron.daily that is similar to mythfilldatabase. remove it, and make sure you setup the schedule in the mythtv menus. I can't remember the exact spot right now. I know this was mentioned in either the A22 or A26 release announcement, so you might go look at those.

Of course it isn't there... That is what X is saying. The mythfilldatabase job is randomly ran by MythTV.

ok, i fixed it
what i did was go to lap2it and make a new account
then i just merged my old accounts settings to the new one (its in the zap2it options menu) and the got mythtv to get the data from my old account, so that how u get it to work ir ur having this problem.

Arrghh. I went in to mythtv-setup, to add my composite video input, which is now working great. However, I have lost all my program guid info...

I tried creating a new Zap2It account with no luck... When I run Mythfilldatabase, it seems to go, but in the end says:
Data is already present for Thu Dec 29 2005, skipping.. (and does this for the next 12 days.)

So what's mixed up?? The listings are not showing in the EPG or web interface... Is there a way to delete whats in the database so it gets put back?

re run mythtv-setup (at the xterm window) and then when it asks you if you want to delete your channel settings (not your card...) say YES
then re setup ur your data source and then pull down the linups and then re run mythfilldatabase, that should work
