I just installed knoppmyth using the autoinstall, but when I bring up the computer without the cd I get a "Network is unreachable" message if I try to ping. lspci says I have a 3com 3CR990-TX-97 "Typhoon" NIC and lsmod says the "typhoon" module was loaded, which is what has worked with other distros. However here it doesn't seem to be working. Any suggestions?

netcardconfig does what?

Sorry if I'm being dense, I'm not new to linux, just knoppix. It gives me a command not found if I try netcardconfig from an Xterm.

Run it as the root user instead of the mythtv user. To switch to the root user, type and then enter the root password at the prompt.
