I have been battling with this for over a week with NO joy. Can somebody give me a boost on how to get going on this *simple* task?

also zap2it is having some problems today, so you may not be able to do it at any given time till they verify everything is good to go. I know I couldn't login earlier today.

Sorry about the tone and yes, I did look at several sets of docs. The docs make this seem like I am a complete idiot as there is no difficulty to set up an account but just getting the correct code for MythTV.

I have set up 5-6 different username/password pairs and I cannot get to the zap2it account info until I can establish an account. This is VERY frustrating!!!

Is there anyone monitoring this list that can help me out?

Well we could try walking you through this from the, click on this link, http://labs.zap2it.com/ then click on "New User? Sign-Up" on that page and check the email that they send you back, through setting up your "lineup", but it would probably be better if you tell us what you're doing, step by step, and we'll try to spot the place you've gone off into the weeds.

I am at the http://labs.zap2it.com/ then click on "New User? Sign-Up" on that page stage! This is not about anything beyond that! I get NO email back and get no further than creating at least six accounts. How soon after I set up the account and do the survey should I see the email?

Did you enter the certificate code that's mentioned in the MythTV and KnoppMyth docs? It's highly recommended that you copy and paste the code so that you don't get it wrong.

Which code? I have seen *at least* 2, which I mentioned before in a previous post in this thread which are at home and, yes I did copy & paste them and copied them by hand as well. Someone else on the mailing list also pointed out that zap2it is having some problems...

Yes I did complete the survey and the only question I have is whether my birth year is 1962 or 62 as the form is vague

You're getting your posts here and your posts to the mythtv-user mailing list confused. You didn't mention that here, you mentioned it in your parallel mailing list thread.

I hadn't noticed anything about the code changing, but I would probably go with the one posted in the MythTV instructions... the wiki instructions may need updating

The Year Of Birth question is straightforward: it's not 62 but 1962.

You were correct about my confusion on which forum I mentioned what info on. I was successful with the information you gave and the string none on #15 that the Alchemist gave me on mythtv-users
