For people who installed or updated to R5A22, can we go ahead and update to R5A30?

Thx,
Troy

What's the reason for the upgrade no-go for the R5A22 users? Just wondering if I should just scrap my 22 install for the 30 instance (if the 22 upgrade will be an ongoing problem).

thx.

R5A22 has a newer version of mythtv (from SVN) than any of the subsequent releases (which have the 0.18.2fixes release which is older)

The database schema is not gaurenteed to be backward compatible (or forward for that matter, but you have a much better chance of this) between versions of mytrh, so you will likely loose all of your recordings if you try and downgrade the version of mythtv (i.e by installing R5A23 to R5A30).

R5A22 users should wait until KnoppMyth is released with a newer version of mythtv (perhaps the next release?).

That is what I'm aiming for...
