Having just purchased a new NEC NLT-32W tv I was keen to hook it up to our Knoppmythbox. The picture I now get is mostly Black & White with a pulsing colour (most probably vert sync) so we get a very washed out colour when watching tele (I am feeding a composite signal to the tv at the moment and this is set in the xf86config4). The splashscreen at bootup is very clear and full of colour but the Mythtv menu is a bluey/grey with 2 pulse bands.
From the forums I have read I think my issue is with the Vert sync. The user manual that came with the tv doesn't give a horz or vert sync rate or range perse. What is does give is a huge range of choices when using the DVI input and this has horz freq from 31.2-60 KHz in lots of choices and the vert freq from 56-75Hz in lots of choices (choices being dependant on resolution ie 800x600)
Is it safe to assume that the TV can handle horz sync 31.2-60 Khz and vert sync 56-75Hz?
