I am having trouble getting backup to work. First I tried from the menu but nothing happened, then I used bash as root (su etc) and entered mythbackup and it went straight back to prompt. I then went into /usr/local/bin and tried mythbackup, same as before.
I have checked there is nothing in /myth/backup (this is where the backup is meant to go?)
I am sure I am doing something wrong or I have missed a posting to say it doesnt work in 5A22

Something is amiss...
Code:
mysqldump -u root mythconverg -c /myth/backup/mythconverg.sql
Is most important. You can copy any other file you want to /myth/backup.

Duh,, I tried yesterday to do a Backup entire server to DVD as the wiki but when I saw it needed 10 DVD's, I decided I would do a normal backup! Nows where I stuffed up -- I deleted the backup directory, so thus mythbackup wouldn't work because it didn't have a directory to write to.
Thanks Cesman, your reply with the code for the mysqldump which didn't work got me thinking. mythbackup now works and it works from the menu as well.
