I am looking to reformat and upgrade to r30. Is there any way to move the list of recorded programs from r22? I don't need the video just the list of shows so it won't record them again. Thanks for the help in advance

If you are patient and wait for the release of KnoppMyth which includes mythtv 0.19 (myth is now in feature freeze pending release of 0.19), you will be able to auto upgrade and keep all of your recordings.

You could dump the recorded programs mysql table to a file, move it off the system, install r5a30 then import the table again?

Presumeably that will only work if the columns in the table haven't changed.

Or you could wait... :)
