Speaking of google. I was at mac world in january, and they were there with a kiosk/booth. Most of the entire week they did not even have staff there. It was a joke. I also saw google at streaming media west and again, an empty booth. O well.

SCALE was certainly fun! We met some great folks and hopfully some new users. I think we had more folks come to our booth than most commerical vendors there (including Google)!

Yes indeedy, it sure was. If you want to see Cecil in the booth at Scale visit http://www.rdt1.org/Scale.html

Oh, and see the stack of CD's on the right?
More than 250 were given out!

And thanks, Mark for your efforts in booth on Saturday.

That is good karma coming back around for all the great work you put into Myth2ipod. Congratulations wififun.

Hi Cecil,

Since some of us were unable to make the journey to the show, did we miss anything with the demo cd? Also curious if that was the stack at the start of the show or the end :) Hope it was a good visitor turn out.

At the rate of people signing up to use the forum, you are soon going to be into the overload condition again.... I think it is great that so many see the potential of your awsome package!

Is the news reader service ever going to be restarted? I only see entries from '04 and some don't even work :(

Have a great day
Mike

Who is pulling who's leg? Seriously, I just saw the winners posted on the front page. I feel a little disappointed, because on Friday, February 10, 2006 I got a message from Cecil with my raffle number.
Quote:
Chris,

Your number is 609645.

Good luck,

Cecil

Then the post here that I saw this morning from February 11th:
Quote:
The winning number for the first raffle (system 10) is:609645

This is my raffle number as the winner of the first drawing. I was very excited, and now after seeing the front page, I am a bit deflated, and very confused. Cecil, please check your sent items, I am not fooling around here, and certainly not trying to pull someone's leg. I would really like to know what happened.

First I want to congratulate the winners of the raffle, and I sincerely hope that this and the other donations have provided needed funds for the server Cecil needs to run this site. That was the purpose of all of this, and I was glad to support the effort, both before the raffle and as part of it.

I do not want this to come out as wining or complaining, however, I have a serious concern about the fairness of this drawing that took place as part of SCALE. On January 31st I purchased a raffle ticket via paypal to Cecil Watson. On February 10, 2006 I received an email from Cecil with my raffle number. My guess is we all probably received our numbers about the same time based on the 8th post in the toppic. On February 11, I believe was the first drawing at SCALE. Cecil posted the winning number in this forum on post number 9. The number 609645 that he posted here, matched the number I received via email from him the day before. If this is truly the winning number, and Don or Eric have this number, then no less than 2 people received this ticket number from Cecil. Now, I may not know a whole lot about raffles, drawing, and giveaways, but I am pretty sure that when more than one person has the same ticket number there is something wrong.

This may very well have just been a typing error by Cecil. Maybe he was cutting and pasting the message to each recipient and forgot to change the ticket number in this instance. Or maybe something really got botched in the number allocation process and there are even more people with duplicate numbers. I don't know, and I realize mistakes happen. But I do not think it is fair to anyone to ignore this, blow it off, or accuse me or anyone else of lying, pulling legs, or what have you. I am fine not winning, that I can live with. I am not fine with an unfair, rigged, or otherwise compromised drawing. I don't think any of us who support Cecil and Dale, and the Knoppmyth community should be. We have a great group of people here, and Cecil has been awesome, I just want to know what happened.

Sorry wififun, I didn't correlate your nick with your name (I need time off). You are indeed one of the winners.

hi, just a quick question about system 1 setup. You have tuner 1 listed as the software card (wintv 401) and the second tuner as the hardware card. I have a wintv 401 and a pvr500 and am wondering if you have a reason for this config.I was going to set mine up the opposite way, does it matter?

Tuner1, Tuner2 was simply state that the system had more than 1 tuner and what those tuners are.

rbtprkr, with the newer Knoppmyth versions I don't think it matters what order you put the tuners. Software or hardware. In the past, R4 versions, I had to move different cards around to get them recognized properly, but this was an IVTV issue not a Myth issue. Bottom line, try it. If it works, you are set, if not swap it, but don't loose sleep over it.
