<sigh> of course it will get in there once Cecil and co have time. However, a delay is not a bad thing here, either. Yes, there are cool things in .19 I'm sure, but I've found, through bitter experience, that it's better to wait a bit and see what shakes out in the first week or two. At least I then have a better idea of what other people have experienced.

YOU can have 0.19 whenever you want. Just download the source and compile it yourself.

Pretty stupid question........

No, not for you. I'm only going to produce KnoppMyth w/ 0.19 for myself and those that search the forum.

The testers are "pounding" on it as we speak. Give them some time to find any possible bugs. If you 'wanna' be a tester and test _all_ the versions (and provide feedback) then, by all means, look into it.

Here is one of the other two threads started by folks who didn't search first...
http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8439 ;-)

Most of the questions have already been answer there at least twice.

looking forward to it. sadly, it looks like I'll be waiting a bit longer. after upgrading from R5A26, modules all failed to load (seemed to want to load modules from kernel 2.6.13 even though the kernel is 2.6.15 and wiped hda1). Decided to just go with a fresh install, and it won't boot after the install. Manual resulted in L 99 99.... Auto install results in ...eternal waiting with no response. I figured that I'd see comments plus or minus by now, but I guess I'm too fast.

something to try --

boot the knoppmyth CD. Go to manual install.
hit <CTRL><ALT><F2> to get to a prompt. Then do the following:

mount /dev/hda1 /mnt
lilo -r /mnt

----------- If you didn't get any errors, type "sync; sync; reboot"

No idea why but I got the same "99" issue on boot after both auto-upgrade and auto-install.

Only hardware change I had made was to add an extra HDD as a slave of the primary boot drive.

Physically removing the new drive solved the issue. I will look at adding the drive again when I'm feeling brave later...... ;)

I have this *points to subject* card in my system with a lonely CDRW drive. I tried to install R5B7 and I had to pass 'noscsi' at the LILO: prompt otherwise the system would hang. This doesn't happen with R5A30.2.

Which card? What are you talking about? If you want help, I suggest you start a new thread and provide greater details.
