I'm running R5A26 with Myth .18 right now.
I recently bought a Super SmartJoy to use with zsnes in MythGame, and in general, it works great except for two minor problems.
1) Some games run very slow, with a noticable delay between pressing a button and seeing the action on screen, it seems be behind a fraction of a second, but its very noticable. The machine is fairly good, 2Ghz with 1GB of RAM and no intensive background processes while trying to play the game. Top shows that zsnes is using only 33% of the cpu. If you think graphics card might be an issue, I'm using the PVR-350's TV-out.
2) Sometimes the frontend and zsnes seem to conflict. After awhile of play, the emulator will freeze up and play the last sound repeatidly. I have my remote setup to restart the myth frontend if I press power twice, and if I do that, everything is happy again
Any ideas on how to fix either of the problems would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I bought myself a SmartJoy PS2 adapter not to long ago as well . I notice some lag when a large amount of action is happing in a game but it hasn’t been enough to bother me. I would try using the other emulator and see if the problems still occurs. Also, do you have any filters turn on? That could cause some performances problems.
I'm not sure about your backend.
My setup is a little different. I'm using TV-out on a Nvidia Ti 4600 card and with a AMD 2400 512mb.

I'll try using snes9x, but appearently that doesn't support full screen from what I'm seeing in the posts.
The only thing I have turned on that isn't on by default is the "new graphics engine."
The wierd thing is that in a game like zelda, it runs very smoothly, but if I'm playing the first level of mario and jump with only one enemy on the screen, the game responds very slowly and laggy, its odd.

try
Code: /path/to/snes9x -stereo -r 6 -tr -fs you might need to lower its security settings, use the command Code: chmod 777 /path/to/snes9x
I'm also wondering about the PVR-350 and its ability for gaming. You might want to try swapping it with a normal video card and see if there is any change.

Despite the fact that we state a KnoppMyth box should be behind a firewall... It isn't good practice to chmod any file 777.

I use a PVR350 TVout for xmame and zsnes without problems, other than I can't seem to get fullscreen with xmame (I use the 2x scaling instead, no problem with zsnes). So it shouldn't be a problem as such. Have you checked what options zsnes is running with as some can be intensive.

Well, I've apt-getted snes9x and setup commandline options as per the wiki, but no go on the full screen. Snes9x requires DGA and the drivers don't support that according to the development forum. So I'm out of luck there unless I go out and buy a cheap video card with TV out. Recommendations on that?
Also, I changed zsnes back to the old graphics engine and that didn't seem to make a difference.
