Hi,

I own a M10000 with Knoppmyth and want to connect a 5.1 set to it. I am using the analogue cables but the 5.1 does not come out ( even if enabled in Xine).

Do I have to alter some config setting (outside of Xine of Mplayer)?

Does someone have got it work with the analogue cables or should I go for S/PDIF? Any howto's for this linux non-expert?

Greets,

Martijn

There is a jumper that lets you select whether you want to use the RCA connector for TV-out or S/PDIF. I tried a M10000 once and the jumper settings where exactly opposite to what the manual said! So setting the jumper to TV-out (according to the manual) gave me AC3 pass through. It took me some time to figure that out...

hmmm,

I've been playing with that thought.... I used the RCA port for video playback, but upon opening the case, the jump was in SP/DIF mode.... OK, i'll open up again.

Thanks!
