Hello,
I am writing an app, for asterisk and mythtv, to integrate both so that when you call in to your asterisk server you can setup a manual recording time in asterisk, I have most of the script working but cannot get it to come up in "mythbackend --printsched " I can go into mythweb though and look in "recording_schedules" and it is there. I am just missing something but at this point I am not sure what it is, I am wondering if anyone is interested in helping me button the small things up. The agi script is written in python and like I have said I have most of it written already. Thanks for any help

It seems like
mythbackend --printsched
and mythweb are doing slightly different mysql queries.

Do the queries look the same in mysql log? Maybe you're forgetting something when you add
your record..

BTW -- I don't know much python.

Bringing up an old thread, but hey....

I was planning on implementing a similar function. I would be interested in how this project is doing?

Will you be sharing it on voip-info?

yeah, once it is done, I had it working with an added on feature called twill which used the mythweb forms to actually submit the recording. Now with Ubuntu Dapper though I cannot get mythweb and php working on the system for some reason. I will let you know though when I get it all working the way I want it to by adding it itself in mysql

***that was what I thought, but I just checked and it appears to work now, so I can start working on it again, here is a link to the working one now, you will have to tweak it a bit for your setup, like putting your ipaddress, but as long as you have the working mythweb you can setup new recordings from asterisk. ****

Sorry, i think you forgot the link... :(

I was thinking of making it so it added it directly to the mysql database, but also queried to see what the title of the programme to be recorded is and would say it back to the caller to confirm.

However, that is a *long* way away!

I will be working on it, and hopefully I will be able to get my girlfriend to sit down and record everything so they can be posted for download as well.
