The fix is based on the above (args), If this isn't working for you then I doubt the next release is going to resolve your problem.

It's strange that it isn't working for You Strict. It still works fine on my system - and I like the new version, even though it won't play my MatrixIII DVD.

One thought:
Have You messed Up your /home/mythtv/.mythtv/lircrc file maybe?

The remote map file that's installed as default only assigns some of the remote buttons. When I changed the file and added support for more buttons I made a small typo - and after that the remote stopped working completely (obviously it works again after I fixed my own error).
Have You been messing with some files after You applied to L0o0ky trick?

/Nikolaj

No, I've made no further modifications at all (scared to do so).

Strange...

Thinking about moving to a larger drive for it, anyway, so perhaps I'll install a new box from scratch with R5B7 and see what it does.

Thanks for the insight, everyone!

Well im in the same boat as strick, my remote was working just fine in R5A30.2 then upgraded to R5B7. Made the chages (removed $LIRCD_ARGS ) and didn't get anything. I thought i messed up the upgrade so i just did a fresh install on another drive and still i get nothing. I run
Code:
cat /proc/bus/usb/devices
and see the device is detecting just fine. But when i run irw no commands are passed from the ir reciver. Is there something else i should try?

Ok well on one of the previous topics i was reading i didn't do one step and it is what made all the difference

The step i left out was this.
Code:
cp /usr/local/share/knoppmyth/remotes/mceusb2/etc/lircrc /home/mythtv/.mythtv/
