Hi

installing again to the new version of knoppmyth,,

how ever i am now having a display problem i havent had before.. so its a bit odd.. the tvout keeps flashning between black/white and coloured.. i have tryed to set DMPS to false in my X11 config.. that only solved the inverted colour problem, so i am a bit lost now.. tryed to do some searcing in the wiki and on these forums witch dident give me any help either, regarding this issue.. does any got an idea on what to do?

Also one more thing, the display dosent fit my entire tv screen, is there a way to "enlarge" it so i can get rid of the black border?

this is my Xf86Config-f config!

I haveen't heard of the problem you are having before, but you are missing alot of options that I've seen people with successfull tvout on epia have in their files. There was one posted not that long ago that showed all the tvout options for epia.

tnx that worked!

after changing the font path in the file here:

http://www.kingcot.eclipse.co.uk/unichrome/xorg.conf.txt

it worked :)

now, is it possible to remove the black borders around my screen, and get the image to fit my entire screen?

I fixed my "black border" problem by adding the following lines to /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file in the Device section of your via device:

Option "TVType" "NTSC"
Option "TVVScan" "over"
Option "TVOutput" "S-Video"
Option "ActiveDevice" "TV"

I think (and I may be wrong) that without specifying the TV ouput, it will default to monitor out settings. It's still sent over the s-video or composite line, but configured for a monitor. Either way, add those lines, save it and restart X (ctrl+alt+backspace). That should get you going.

[edit] I just noticed you're in PAL land. Obviously TVType should be PAL for you. I'm not sure if anything else needs to change. [/edit]
