I have been fighting for at least 2 weeks (off and on) to get the IR Blaster that comes with my PVR-150 working.

Right now, running "lsmod | grep lirc" shows that lirc_dev, lirc_serial, and lirc_pvr150 are loaded.

Is lirc_serial even necessary? The IR blaster connects directly to the PVR-150, and nothing from dmesg states that a COM port is in use.

Also, recompiling lirc, specifiying PVR-150, states that a new i2c service layer is needed. Could that be my problem? If so, how do I obtain this new i2c service layer.
