You can control the datarates that mythstreamtv uses on the configure screen...decrease the FPS or the size (% of full screen).

I tried both of those & it just degraded the picture without changing the frequency of the buffering. Could the Mythbox be doing an internet task that makes it 'busy' every 35 seconds ?

The Mythstream TV log said something about 'no cache'. Is it possible to enable a stream cache on the sending end ?

Anyone having mysthreamtvLive working with knoppmyth R5B7 (new version of mythweb)? I tried to see if I could figure out what to do, but my notes/instructions no longer work because of the reworked mythweb.
I'm willing to help out anyway I can to get this working...

Yes, streaming works with R5B7 (I still have the every minute buffering problem noted above.)

I use Kafffeine (Xine engine) Start the stream from your browser in Mythweb. Copy the file number presented in Mythweb for the stream selected. In Kaffeine, type in the url of mythweb with the :8001 port. Enter & see if it finds the stream. If not try open file and paste in the file you copied from Mythweb.

A couple tries like that and you should have the URL memorized by Kaffeine so you can just start the stream in mythweb and then 'open recent' in Kaffeine, where 'recent' will be the mytghweb address with the strem port number.

Did a clean install on my box using a single Haupage 350 card everything went well no problems at all.
When trying to use the MythstreamTV on my other boxes I had to add settings to DNS to point my.host.com to my backend.
Seems kind of odd.
Also the stream is perfect but I have no audio at all.
Any pointers.

Hey whats the current status of this initiative? I'd love to stream Live TV over the net and was considering using khrusher's package on page 1 of this thread.

But then I noticed all of the posts are at least a year old, and the MythStreamTVLive wiki is over a year old as well. I'm sure a bunch has changed since then.

So does anyone have Live TV working with newer KnoppMyth versions? (R5F1 is what I'm running) I have all the controls working on my stream page, except I have this Channel Change selector that doesn't do anything right now. I was wondering if that was related to this initiative.

the posts at the betinnign of the thread are outdated. I have only recently upgraded to R5F1. Prior to the upgrade, i was unable to contribute as my mythweb was out of date.

I am having issues with vlc streaming recordings and live. There is another thread on here just this week. several of us have the same issues.
