Hey all,

I am missing not having a keyboard on my MythTV box, and have been eyeing up some of those wireless keyboards. I have a wireless laptop that is always within 5 feet of me, and I was wondering if there would be some way to use it to send keystrokes to the running mythfrontend process? VNC, SSH?

Thanks in advance!

Does the laptop run linux? You're in luck if it does. Google x2x. :)

But of course... ;)

Google x2x

Ahhh - that looks like what I'm looking for! Do you use this? Are you going in through a SSH tunnel or did you do all the 'xhost' stuff?

That does my heart good. ;)

Yes, I use x2x sometimes at work when I don't have a machine with xinerama and two monitors. I don't hesitate to use xhost + hostnamewithkeyboard on a private network behind a firewall.
