On the masterbackend. Which is currently both a backend and frontend. It really will only be a backend.

I have 5 capture cards in this box. Three are pchdtv. Two of these are PVR-250 cards. I dont have a soundcard in that box.

I am feeding two DirecTV boxes into the S-Video ports on the PVR-250. Using the directv script to external channel change.

I am VERY confused. Are you saying that I would require 2 soundcards in the backend to be plugged in via a rca out to the line in of the happaugge cards? I had done test captures before and it recorded sound on R5A22.

I had recorded Entourage and watched from a frontend on mac osx.

Wait I think when I did those test captures it was with analog cable on tuner 0.

Wow so I would have to add two soundcards to capture off the happaugge cards to record from DirecTV?

Perhaps I was confused about this but do I just connect the audio output rca left and right to a line audio on the happaugge card?

That's right - svideo is only video. I think you need a cable like this

Ok so I am big moron. YES I AM VERY VERY SLEEP DEPRIVED. No matter how many times people tell you about having a baby and getting no sleep it doesn't register.

I hooked up the cable and wala boom it works.

In my defense when I ran myth before I captured off of the PCHDTV and analog cable. So I didnt need the cable.

Can someone please delete this thread as I hate logging in and seeing how stupid I am.
